                                                             Tornadoes
In  different  parts  of  the  world  the  weather   can  be  very  violent. For  example  tornadoes  are  nature's  most  violent  storms. Tornadoes  can  be very  dangerous. Sometimes  they  are  deadly.  A  tornado  appears as a cloud  which  moves  in  circles round  a  central   poiny. So it has the shape of a pipe which is narrow at the bottom and wide at the top. It looks like a funnel which we use to pour liquid into a small opening, for example, a bottle Tornado windscan blow at up to 300 miles, or 480 kilometres, a hour. They cause a lot of damage. They can damage an area one mile wide and 50 miles long. There is a risk of tornado  damage  in  almost  every  state  in  the   U.S. tornadoes  can  form  any time of  the  year, but the tornado season runs from March to August. Usually people have at least a few minutes warning on the radio or TV. The most important  thing to do is take shelter, and hide  in a house, when a tornado is coming.
